Modular wraps
Modular Vehicle Wraps, Built In House, Not Bought In
ExactWrap is modular vehicle wrapping done properly. A modular style system, laser scanned and built in house, never a bought in kit. You get tighter finishes, designs that actually work on the van, and a price that beats a traditional full wrap.
The basics
What is a modular vehicle wrap
Same finish as a full wrap. A smarter system underneath.
A modular wrap is built from individual printed panels, each one templated to an exact part of your vehicle. Every panel is printed, cut and laminated before it goes anywhere near your van, then applied section by section for a clean, precise fit.
You get the bold, full coverage look of a wrap, with a system behind it that is built to be serviced and scaled rather than redone. The catch is that a modular wrap is only ever as good as the templating and the design behind it. That is exactly where ExactWrap is different.
Why ExactWrap
The true brand in modular vehicle wraps
Most modular wraps are a bought in kit. ExactWrap is built in house, and you can see it in the finish.
- Built in house, not bought in. We laser scan and produce every panel ourselves, so nothing is outsourced to a generic kit supplier.
- Tighter finishes. Laser scanning and high end software mean the panels sit closer to the bodywork, with cleaner edges and less lift.
- Designs that actually work. We design for the modular system, so the artwork lines up across the panels instead of fighting the seams.
- Years of experience. We know how to get the real benefits of a modular wrap, the look of a full wrap with the serviceability of panels.
- Premium film. We print on Metamark high-performance MD5A vinyl, a 7-year polymeric, not a budget wrap film, so the colour and finish last.
The system
How the ExactWrap panel system works
- We laser scan and template every panel to your exact vehicle, down to the millimetre.
- Your design is printed, laminated and precision cut in house, panel by panel.
- Panels arrive ready to apply, so the vehicle is off the road for hours, not days.
- Every panel is logged against your van, so a reprint is a quick reorder.
The difference
ExactWrap vs a standard modular wrap
Most modular wraps are bought in as a generic kit. Ours are laser scanned, built in house and printed on a premium film, and it shows in the fit.
| ExactWrap modular wrap | A standard modular wrap | |
|---|---|---|
| How it is made | Laser scanned, built in house | Bought in as a generic kit |
| Panel fit | Tighter, cleaner edges | Looser, more lift over time |
| Vinyl | Metamark high-performance MD5A, 7-year polymeric | Whatever the kit supplier uses |
| Design | Made to work with the panels | Generic artwork on a kit |
| Finish | Better finished, by people who do this daily | Varies kit to kit |
The comparison
ExactWrap modular vs a traditional full wrap
Where the modular approach pulls ahead for a working vehicle, and where it saves you money.
| ExactWrap modular wrap | Traditional full wrap | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost for the same look | Lower | Higher |
| Time off the road | Hours, panels pre made | Days, worked on site |
| Damage repair | Swap the one panel | Often redo the section or van |
| Finish | Laser scanned, tighter fit | Cut and worked on the body |
| Fleet consistency | Every van matches the file | Varies by fitter and day |
| Fit your own option | Yes, as a DIY kit | Rarely |
A modular wrap from ExactWrap is usually cheaper than a traditional full wrap for the same coverage, and it gives you something a full wrap never can: when one panel is damaged you swap that panel, not the whole van.
Serviceable
Replace one panel, not the whole van
Vans live a hard life. A trolley, a gatepost or a careless reverse can mark a wrap in seconds. With a traditional wrap that often means redoing a whole section or the entire vehicle.
With an ExactWrap modular wrap we hold the laser scanned file for every panel on your van. If one gets damaged we reprint that single panel and swap it, and it matches because it comes off the same artwork. Lower cost, less downtime, and your fleet stays looking sharp.
For fleets
Modular wraps for fleets
Consistent branding across mixed vehicles, rolled out without taking the fleet off the road.
Run a fleet and the modular system earns its keep. New vehicles get the same panels off the same files, so every van matches no matter when it joins. Rebranding is panel by panel rather than vehicle by vehicle, and when a van leaves the fleet the branding comes off cleanly. See our fleet branding options for how we roll this out across a whole fleet.
Your choice
Fitted by us, or shipped as a DIY kit
Want it done for you? We design, print and fit the lot. Happy to fit it yourself and save on labour? Order the exact same panels as a DIY van wrap kit, printed and cut to your van and shipped to your door. Same laser scanned templates, same print, your call on fitting.
Cost
Modular wrap cost, what to budget
Honest pricing that depends on your vehicle and coverage, and lands below a traditional full wrap.
What you pay comes down to the size of the vehicle, how much of it you cover, and the finish you choose. An ExactWrap modular wrap usually lands below a traditional full wrap for the same coverage, and a DIY kit lands lower again because you fit it.
Rather than quote a number that does not fit your van, we price your exact vehicle in the order flow. Start your order to see the price for your make and model, with no obligation.
Questions
Modular wrap FAQs
Is ExactWrap a modular wrap?
Yes. ExactWrap is a modular style system, a full wrap look built from separate replaceable panels. The difference is how it is made. We laser scan and build every kit in house rather than buying in a generic kit, so the fit is tighter and the design is made to work with the panels.
What makes ExactWrap different from a standard modular wrap?
Most modular wraps are bought in as a generic kit and fitted. ExactWrap is laser scanned and produced in house on high end software, so the panels sit closer to the bodywork, the seams line up with the design, and the finish is tighter. We print on Metamark high-performance MD5A vinyl, a 7-year polymeric, rather than a budget film, and you get our years of experience designing specifically for the modular system.
Are modular wraps cheaper than a full wrap?
In most cases yes. Because the panels are templated and produced in advance there is far less labour on the vehicle and far less wasted material, so an ExactWrap modular wrap usually comes in below a traditional full wrap for the same coverage. The bigger saving comes later, when a single damaged panel can be reprinted and swapped rather than redoing the whole van.
Can you replace just one panel if it gets damaged?
Yes, that is the whole point of the system. If a panel is scratched, scuffed or damaged in a knock, we reprint that one panel from the same laser scanned file and swap it. The rest of the wrap stays exactly as it was, and the colour matches because it comes off the same artwork.
Do I have to have it fitted by you?
No. You can have us design, print and fit the whole thing, or you can order the same panels as a DIY kit, printed and cut to your van and shipped to your door to fit yourself. Same templates, same print quality, your choice on fitting.
Which vehicles can you do modular wraps for?
We hold templates for the common UK vans and fleet vehicles going back to 2014, across Ford, Mercedes, Renault, Vauxhall, Volkswagen and more. If your vehicle is not already templated we can template it, so start your order and we will confirm.
